JANUARY 30
Avelino R. Rivera, 26, of Chelsea, was issued a summons for charges of assault & battery in a domestic situation and causing malicious damage to property over $250.
Edward J. Cascio, 59, of 57 Vane St., was arrested on charges of assault & battery upon a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Michelle M. Cascio, 27, of 57 Vane St., was arrested on charges of assault & battery upon a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Edward Cascio Jr., 21, of 57 Vane St., was arrested on charges of assault & battery upon a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and illegal possession of a knife in violation of the city ordinance.
Maria Cascio, 55, of 57 Vane St., was issued a summons for charges of assault & battery upon a police officer and disorderly conduct.
Nicola Capobianco, 59, of 130 Savage St., was arrested on a charge of assault & battery in a domestic situation.

Barnard R. Williams, 38, of 485 Beach St., was arrested on charges of assault & battery in a domestic situation, intimidation of a witness, two counts of reckless endangerment to a child under the age of 18, and malicious destruction of property over $250.
Omar Khan, 19, of Everett, was issued a summons for charge of licensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Michael C. Matusik, 39, of Lynn, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.
Yeni V. Sanchez, 31, of an unknown address in Revere, was issued a summons for a charge of assault.

Jamie L. Rodriguez, 47, of 250 Broadway, was issued a summons for a charge of trespassing.
A 16 year old juvenile was arrested on charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for a police officer, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He also was cited for the civil motor vehicle infraction of operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Carlos Rocha-Netro, 39, of Blanch Springs, Texas, was issued a summons for a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He also was cited for the civil motor  infractions of a marked lanes violation and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Hubert Jason Wallace, 43, of Roxbury, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He also was cited for the civil motor infraction of speeding.

ALL IN THE FAMILY
Four members of one family on Vane Street were arrested or charged on Monday, Jan. 30, over a blocked driveway incident that turned sour.
Around 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 30, police were called to a residence on Vane Street to mediate an ongoing parking dispute between neighbors. The suspects had parked in front of the victim’s driveway and refused to move.
When police arrived, the father at first agreed to move the car, but then once behind the wheel changed his mind – telling officers to take a hike in much more crass terms. Officers said he could move it, or they would arrest him and tow it.
He opted for the hard way.
As police struggled to remove him from the car, the man’s son exited the home and began fighting with police, jumping on the back of one officer.
Once the son was taken down by officer, the daughter came out of the home and joined the fray.
With all three mixing it up with the cops, the mother then came out and tried to defend the daughter by assaulting police. All were eventually subdued and charged, and the car was towed from the scene.
Edward Cascio, 59; Michelle Cascio, 27;Â and Edward Cascio, Jr., 21; were all arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Maria Cascio, 55, was summonsed on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct.
NEW GRANT PROGRAM
Mayor Brian Arrigo and Chief of Police Joseph Cafarelli are pleased to announce that the Revere Police Department received a Commonwealth Security Trust Fund (CSTF) grant in the amount of $16,708.68 to enhance the department’s capabilities to respond to emergencies.
Revere was one of only 14 communities out of 62 applicants to receive CSTF funding through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. The grant program is funded from revenue received from the sale of “United We Stand†distinctive registration plates.
“Revere Police is very fortunate to have received this competitive funding and appreciates the opportunity to provide our patrol officers, who are at the forefront of our response efforts, additional resources when responding to emergency situations,†stated Chief of Police Joseph Cafarelli.
“This grant will enable the Revere Police Department to more quickly and effectively respond to emergencies,†said Mayor Brian Arrigo. “Residents count on officers to be there in moments of need. These funds will help ensure our officers can provide urgent care when called upon.â€
As first responders, Revere Police recognize the need to enhance its response at the scene during emergency situations including motor vehicle crashes, home traumas, and mass casualty incidents. The CSTF grant funding will allow the department to purchase emergency medical care supplies and tactical casualty care kits for officers first on the scene to provide emergency medical care to individuals.
In addition to the typical incidents of trauma that patrol officers encounter, there is an ever growing threat of mass casualty, active shooter threat, and terrorist incidents which have emerged to the forefront of patrol level emergency preparedness.
All officers will be outfitted with equipment/supplies that when used in conjunction with proper training can aid victims of trauma and stabilize them pending Emergency Medical Services (EMS) response and subsequent hospital treatment. The training versions of the equipment will also be provided by the grant.
ARRESTED FOR FIREARM
A Malden man who has been squatting in the Eliot Road home of a man that is currently incarcerated was arrested on Jan. 23 for firing a firearm into the air recently.
Revere Police were alerted to a shots fired call in January on Eliot Road, but upon responding to the scene, found no evidence. A search of a home near where the alert had come from turned up nothing.
However, detectives followed up on the case and developed evidence that the Malden man might have been responsible. Police found the man was squatting in a Revere Housing Authority apartment, an apartment that was rented to a man now in jail.
Officers busted into the apartment and found the Malden man with two teen-age girls.
The gun that is believed to have been fired into the air on Eliot Road was found on the bed.
David Concannon, 18, of Malden, was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, breaking and entering in the day for a felony and trespassing.
STOLEN FIREARMS
Police are investigating the theft of two handguns from a home on Cecilian Avenue on Thursday, Feb. 2.
The owner of the home discovered that two legal firearms had been taken from the home, and reported it to police around 11:15 a.m.
Police do not know where the guns ended up, but are investigating.
ROBBERY
Revere Police are looking into an unarmed robbery of Ray’s Sunoco on Brown Circle last Friday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m. a man came into the store, demanded money and grabbed cash from the register. He didn’t indicate he was armed. Once grab handing the cash, he fled towards Squire Road.
SCREAMING AND CRYIN’
A Beach Street teen was arrested early on Sunday morning for yelling in the street and refusing to stop.
Around 2:18 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to the 500th block of Beach Street for a young man yelling in the street.
Officers asked him to calm down and go back inside.
He refused.
He started yelling again.
Police arrested him.
Juan Zapata, 18, of 539 Beach St., was charged with disorderly conduct.
