Two projects, one involving a mixed use project of retail and residential property and a project for a five-story storage unit will appear before the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) tonight (Dec. 28) in Council Chambers, both are being represented by D’ambrosio & Brown.

The Neighborhood Developers are proposing to construct a mixed use property consisting of 69 residential units, a community room and two retail spaces at 571 Revere St. at the intersection of Sachem Street. They need to appear before the ZBA for several variances. The variances are for front yard setback, side yard setback, rear yard setback, parking requirements and tandem parking. They are seeking relief for 93 parking spaces and 12 tandem style spaces.

According to the filing the 29,752 square foot lot is a “long neglected parcel that is underutilized. The proposed building will be five stories high with one and three bedroom units. There is also a courtyard and a deck area.

R&S Realty Trust/Ralph Caruso, 320 Charger St. is proposing to build a five-story self-storage facility on Lot 1 Charger Street. They seek a variance of front yard, side setbacks, rear setbacks and open space and 28 parking spaces not all in the Technology Enterprise District boundaries. The property is a 72,298 square foot lot and it is valued at $1.3 million. There is an old warehouse on the property. The new construction will have two larger buildings on the lot with a driveway through them and a smaller one-story building to the side of them.

The public hearing will be held in the council chambers in City Hall on December 28 at 4 p.m.
