Volare To Host Coat Drive December 20

On Tuesday, December 20, Volare Restaurant on Broadway will be hosting a coat drive to help kids and families in need in our community.

The event will take place from 6:30-9:30 pm, and there will be an “ugly Christmas sweater” theme. Donation of a winter coat or a gift card to a department store will serve as your admission ticket to the event.

Ward 4 City Councilor Patrick Keefe, Michael Digangi, and Matt Parlente are organizing the event, with the support of Volare and Mayor Brian Arrigo.

“I encourage all residents to come out on December 20 to support families in need as we head in to the winter season,” said Mayor Brian Arrigo. “Thanks to Councillor Keefe, community volunteers, and Volare for help making this happen.”

“It’s great to have community partners like Volare, Mike Digangi and Matt Parlente to help put this together. We all just want to put as many coats on kids’ backs this winter as possible.”

“No kids should go without coats during the winter,” said Salvo Gaglio of Volare restaurant. “We care deeply about our community and are happy to host this event, which will allow us to give back to those in need.”

Those unable to attend can still donate money via https://www.gofundme.com/coats-for-kids-annual-coat-drive, or donate a coat or winter gear by bringing it to Mayor Arrigo’s office before the December 20.
