Starting out as a simple beat the dance song slowly builds into a futuristic song track. A singer breaks out in chorus singing, “Standing out on the edge of the world with everything to loose with such a sunrise,” quickly makes the song Sunrise into the perfect feel good dance song.

“I never thought I was going to be working on pop and dance music,” said Vincent Prezioso, 26,  one of the artists behind the song.

Prezioso, an East Boston native whose father Angelo and grandmother Josephine operate Vinny’s Market on Malden Street and his mother Angela Bertolino Prezioso, graduated in the Revere High Class of 1979, has made the top charts with the song Sunrise with Joe Bermudez and featuring Louise Carver. It has charted number one of the Dance Club Songs list and has been featured on the home-page of Spotify, the online music streaming service.

The song can be found on rotation on Sirus XM radio along with on the 103.3 AMP Radio in Boston.

His other music that includes pop, dance, and rock genres can be found on radio, TV, and movies including a song in the Disney movie High Strung that opened in theatres in late 2015.

“It’s been a whole string of one thing leading to another,” said Prezioso.

He grew up playing in various rock bands in Boston that traveled throughout the U.S. including the Vans Warped Tour in 2007. Eventually, he didn’t want to be in a band anymore but wanted to continue to produce original music.

“Through connections through my rock music I started to get into this whole other world,” said Prezioso about changing over genres.

He graduated from Berkley College Music and started to work with fellow collaborators including Grammy-winning writers such as Ken Lewis (Bruno Mars, Fun, Ariana Grande), Dirty Vegas (EM/Capitol), and engineers such as Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Della Mae).

Most of his work his now behind the scenes and revolves around creating lyrics and melodies in songs. Prezioso said he never sings on the track.

“I’m inspired by just living,” said Prezioso speaking of how he creates his music. He said that his co-writers and him take inspiration from everyday experiences including break ups, bad days, good days and even just the every day journey.

As for his taste in music Prezioso said, “I love listening to everything. I actually just started listening to country music.”

He continued, “I love anything that sounds good.”

Prezioso says his songs often times take a long time to come to fruition and can be released up to one and half to two years after they worked on it.

“It’s hard because I always want to share what I’m working on but there is just so many people involved,” said Prezioso, making it difficult.

Although Prezioso is traveling around the country to places like New York City and Los Angeles to work on various songs he still calls Boston his home.

Prezioso said, “ I’m still here for the most part.”

You can find his songs on Spotify by searching the artist Joe Bermudez and on SoundCloud at www.soundcloud.com/vinnyprez.

This past summer, Prezioso was also found selling t-shirts through his company PunPantry. Merchandise includes “radio bread” that plays on the band Radio Head with a loaf of bread radio as the design and the “Wu-Tang Clam” with their band logo as a clam, a pun off the band Wu Tang Clan.

His song DJ Fav was also featured last night, Tuesday, September 6 at 9pm on Lifetime.
