Saul Elliot Katz

Of Revere

Saul Elliot Katz of Revere died on April 4.

A US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was born, raised and educated in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a shipper in manufacturing.

He was the beloved husband of June (Naples) Katz; loving son of the late Abraham Katz and Rose (Seigal) Katz and is survived by his children Steven Katz of South Carolina and Jean Katz of New Hampshire and his stepsons, Paul Macmillan and James Macmillan of Revere. He was the loving grandfather of Jason Katz, Caitlin MacMillan, Michael MacMillan and Jason MacMillan; dear brother of Joseph Katz, Frank Katz and the late Florence Gladstone, Sylvia Katz and Jackie Katz.

Diane Kinnally-Hickey

State of Mass Budget Analyst

Diane Kinnally-Hickey of Revere died on April 8 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 69 years old.

Diane worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a budget analyst for over 30 years.

Born in Everett, the daughter of the late George and Dorothea (Dwyer) Kinnally, she was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Hickey; devoted mother of Susan Sordello and her husband, Arthur of Topsfield; loving grandmother of Aaron and Caroline; dear sister of George Kinnally and his wife, Janet of Mashpee and Kevin Kinnally and his wife, Victoria of Boxford and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, Revere. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Robert Marston, Sr.

Of North Carolina, formerly of Revere

Robert P. Marston, Sr. , formerly of Revere, died on Easter Sunday, April 5 after battling Glioblastoma Multiform. He was 72 years old.

He worked for Otis Elevator Company for approximately 32 years before retiring to North Carolina in 2002.

Mr. Marston was the devoted husband of Norma Jean (Lazaris); beloved son of the late Helen (Lavery) Marston; brother of the late Richard Marston and Ellen Amirault and is also lovingly survived by his son Robert and his wife, Andrea of Revere, son Mark and his wife, Denise of Swampscott and daughter Nichole Marston of Revere. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Ashley, Anthony, Sophia, Summer and Ariella.

An invitation to a Celebration of Life is extended to all family and friends at Casa Lucia, 61 Lucia Avenue, Revere on May 9 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Edward ‘Eddie’ Gay

Proprietor of ECAS Air Services

Edward J. “Eddie” Gay, a 20 year resident of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died unexpectedly on April 11 after being rushed to Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. He was 64 years old.

Born in Cambridge, he was raised in the Orient Heights section of East Boston and was a 1968 graduate of East Boston High School. Most of his working career was in the air freight service industry. He worked for Signature Flight Services at Logan Airport from 1998 to 2013. “Eddie” was a long time member of the Winthrop Golf Club and was the proprietor of ECAS Air Services.

The devoted father of Robin N. Gay of Revere and Ralph Sharp of East Boston, he was the cherished grandfather of Kayla N. Gay Quesada of Revere and is also lovingly survived by his former wife, Fiorella Mazzei. He was the dear brother of Rick Gay and his wife, Diane of Milton, Linda Banelis and her late husband, Jack of Malden, James Mazzapica and his wife, Mary, Kathleen Thomann and her husband, Daniel, all of Tewksbury, Mary McGowan of Malden and the late Francis “Franny” Gay and Carl Mazzapica. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, April 16 from 2 to 6 p.m. In the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere. Eileen Marie (Paglierani) Pescatore of Lynn, formerly of Revere, died on April 11.

She was the beloved wife of Louis Pescatore, Jr. of Lynn; devoted mother of Ronald L. and his wife, Kathleen of Revere, Janine M. Pescatore of Saugus and Gary J. and his wife, Teresa of Lynn; dear sister of the late Tudina Misiano and her husband, Savino “Salvy,” Albertina Montesanti and her husband, Harding “Slickie” and Henry “Eddie” Paglierani and his wife, Theresa; cherished grandmother of Olivia and Noah Pescatore of Lynn; loving sister-in-law of Janet Rago of Cape Cod and Albert Pescatore of Winthrop and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Attorney Joseph Book

Past President of Chelsea-Revere Bar Association

Attorney Joseph Book of Revere and Deerfield Beach, Florida and formerly of Everett, entered into rest on February 20. He was 93 years old.

Attorney Book served in World War II in the US Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of Boston University and the University of Miami Law School. He maintained a law practice in Boston for more than 50 years and was a member of the Massachusetts Bar and the Florida Bar and a past president of the Chelsea-Revere Bar Association.

He was the beloved husband of 56 years of Helena (Safer) Book; devoted father of Michael Book, Richard Book and his wife, Stacy, Jonathan Book and his spouse, Corey Clifford, and David Book and his wife, Pamela; loving brother of the late Gertrude Kahn and the late Etta Bohm; loving son of the late Miriam (Saunders) Book, Dora Book and Arthur Book and cherished grandfather of Joshua, Marisa, Jared, Noah, Emmett, Jordan and Jacob.

Services were held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, Salem on February 24. Interment followed at Tifereth Israel Memorial Park in Everett.
