ARRESTED AT SEACOAST

A 16-year-old from the Seacoast School was arrested on serious charges after a fight that injured a teacher last Thursday morning.

Around 11:47 a.m. a couple of kids got into a fight at the school.

A teacher tried to intervene as one student got another in a headlock and the student hit the teacher.

The youth was charged with disturbing a school assembly, assault and battery on a public employee and assault and battery on a person over 60 with serious bodily injury.

 

PHONE BANK

One local bank employee on Squire Road got a serious of mysterious and harassing phone calls last week while at the bank and at another number.

Around noon on Friday, the woman called police to report that she had been getting phone calls from a number she didn’t know.

The caller would state, “I’m coming to get you.”

Then, he would hang up.

The woman said she tried to call the number back, but no one answered.

She said she had no problems with anyone and had no idea who it could be or if it was a serious situation.

Police are looking into the matter and have kept the complaint on file.

AUTHORITIES RENEW CALL FOR WITNESSES IN REVERE HOMICIDE

Weeks after 18-year-old Andres Jaramillo was shot and killed on Garfield Street in Revere, authorities today renewed their call for the public’s assistance.

The investigation into the young man’s fatal shooting on Garfield Avenue remains active, and Revere Police Chief Joseph Cafarelli and Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley continue to urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant or peripheral that information may seem, to share what they know with investigators.

Revere Police responded to an outdoor scene on Garfield Avenue shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Jan. 23 to find Jaramillo, a Chelsea resident, inside his Honda Accord suffering from fatal gunshot injuries. The Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit, which has jurisdiction over death investigations in Revere, also responded to the scene, as did the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, other specialized units, and uniformed troopers.
