Owner of Brooks Meat Market in East Boston
Vincenza (DiVita) Rubino of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died recently. She was 91 years old.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Brooks Meat Market in East Boston for 30 years.
Born in Boston, she was the loving daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Lombardo) DiVita; beloved wife of the late Paul Rubino; devoted mother of Joseph Rubino and his wife, Jane, Marie Greeley and her husband, John, JoAnn Rubino, Geri Pace and her husband, Nick and Lucy Kulakowski and her husband, Kevin; dear sister of the late Vita Ignazi and her husband, Ivo; cherished grandmother of Amando Colangelo and his wife, Leigh, Jennifer Greeley, Lisa Rubino, Todd, Nicole and Kristen Kulakowski and great-grandmother of Alexander Colangelo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Lucille A. (Green) DelGreco of Revere died on November 21. She was 77 years old.
Born in Revere, she worked as the Tax Collector for the City of Revere.
She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore DelGreco; devoted mother of Celeste Gregorio and her husband, Robert of Revere, Valerie Annese and her husband, Steven of California, Jeanine Fichera and her late husband, Charles of Revere and Salvatore Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Florida; dear sister of Joan Culliton of Peabody, Carol Marotta of Florida and the late Daniel Green; cherished grandmother of Robert, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Briana, Makayla, Tia, Arianna and Giovanni.

Stanley ‘Stan’ Wright
Long time US Air Lines Employee
Stanley “Stan” Wright of Beachmont Revere, formerly of East Boston, passed away on November 20.
A long time employee of of U.S. Air Lines Logan Airport, he was the beloved son of Margaret “Peggy” Wright of Melrose and the late Stanley Wright, the loving brother of Stephen Wright and his wife, Debra of Saugus and Deborah Wright of Warwick, MA; cherished uncle of Baylee, Stephen, Jr. and Caitlin.
Family and friends will honor Stan’s life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. before leaving in funeral procession to Sacred Heart Church, Brooks Street, East Boston for a Funeral Mass celebrating his life at 10 a.m. Committal private.

Proprietor and Operator of Carter’s Dry Cleansers of Everett and Malden
Luca Morelli of Saugus died following a valiant six month battle with Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer) at his Saugus residence on November 17. He was 73 years old.
Born in Sicily, Italy, he came to the United States as a young boy of nine with his family settling in East Boston. He lived there for a time and moved to Malden where he lived for over 35 years before moving to Saugus 18 years ago.
For the past 30 years, he has been the Proprietor and Operator of Carter’s Dry Cleansers of Everett and Malden. Luca worked until May of 2014 when he received the diagnosis of brain cancer. He was a very dedicated family man who enjoyed the company of his children and especially of his grandchildren.
He was the beloved husband of 52 years to: Rosalie (Ballerini) Morelli; the devoted father of: Louis Morelli and his wife Maureen of Everett, Lisa D’Alleva of Melrose and Lydia Howard and her husband, David of Medford; the dear brother of Lydia Diana of Somerville and Nancy Norelli-Moni of Hansen, MA. He is also lovingly survived by eight grandchildren: Zackary T., Madelane R., Isabella M. and Luca F. Morelli, Charles D’Alleva, Lauren M., Rosalie M. and Henry L. Howard. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Retired Produce Manager; Founder and Past President of the TCP Foundation
Joseph P. Prudente of Salem, NH, formerly of East Boston and Billerica, passed away following a long illness on November 21 at Holy Family Hospital of Methuen. He was 79 years old.
Born and raised in East Boston, he and his bride of 58 years, Palma C. (Lopez) graduated from East Boston High School, Class of 1954. They were married in 1956 and lived in East Boston until moving to Billerica in 1965 where they remained until moving to Salem, New Hampshire in 2004.
Joseph worked as a produce manager for the Johnny Food Mart Corporation for over 29 years and then for the former “Brockelman’s” of Wayland for 10 years until retiring at 70 years old.
Joseph was the founder and past president of the TCP Foundation of Massachusetts. The organization will continue to flourish under the administration of his three sons.
In addition to his beloved wife, Palma C. (Lopez), he leaves three devoted sons: Joseph J. Prudente and his wife, Kathleen of Worcester, John J. Prudente and his wife, Nancy of The Villages, Florida and David F. Prudente and his wife, Suzanne of Acton, MA. He was the cherished grandfather of: Kevin J. Prudente and his wife, Jaime of Bolton, Jillian M. Masters and her husband, Nicholas of Pensacola, Florida, John J. Prudente, Jr. and his wife, Lindsey of Worcester, James M. Prudente and his wife, Anya of South Boston and Isabel B. Prudente of Acton; dear brother of Rita Siracuse and her husband, Michael of Lynn, Richard Prudente and his wife, Dorothy of Reading, Florence Downey and her husband, John of Virginia, Geraldine Damiano and her late husband, James of Revere, Michael Prudente and his wife, Christine of Everett and the late Anthony and Albert Prudente and Lorraine Boutillier. He is also lovingly survived by his five great grandchildren: Riley, Caroline, Charlotte, Luke and Victoria.
His Funeral will be conducted from the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere on Wednesday, November 26 at 10 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Active at Immaculate Conception Church
Barbara A. (Kennedy) Haggerty of Revere passed away unexpectedly on November 20 at Boston Medical Center.
Born and raised in Lynn, she came to Revere in the 1950’s and lived in Revere for more than 50 years. She had a brief working career as a bookeeper and then became the devoted mother of six children.
Mrs. Haggerty was an active member of The Immaculate Conception Community and the Immaculata Guild and the Maria Assunta Guild of the Parish as well as of the Mother’s Club and Bowling League. She enjoyed her summer residence in Raymond, Maine immensely, always hosting a full house. As her senior years approached, she held close to her beat “Saturdays” with her daughters, when they would treat her to a luncheon and shopping.
Her beloved husband, Edwin G. Haggerty passed away in August of 1992. She was the devoted mother of: Mary Ellen Kippenberger and her husband, Retired Revere Fire Lieutenant Michael T. Kippenberger of Topsfield, Thomas F. Haggerty and his wife, Lyn of Hamburg, NY, Barbara A. D’Eramo and her husband, James R. and Michael E. and James L. Haggerty and Margaret A. “Peggy” Haggerty, all of Revere. She was the adored grandmother of Michael T. Kippenberger, Jr. and his wife, Lauren of Tewksbury, Katelyn M. Campbell and her husband, Christopher of Burlington, Christopher J. D’Eramo, John J. D’Franco, Stacey Squillacioti, Shannon, Jamie and Jessica Haggerty, all of Revere, Ryan Haggerty and his wife, Lisa of Chicago, Illinois, Kara Haggerty of Valejo, California, Ellen and Lee Haggerty, both of Hamburg, New York and is also lovingly survived by her great grandson, Michael Patrick Kippenberger. She was the dear sister of the late Rev. William Kennedy, S.J.
