Columbus Day Celebration and Breakfast

It is Eastie’s turn for the annual Christopher Columbus Day Parade but Revere will honor the great explorer who discovered America with a breakfast Saturday morning at the Revere High School Cafeteria.

A large crowd is expected to attend the breakfast that is being led by Mayor Dan Rizzo. Last year’s breakfast was a huge success as local and state officials and candidates for statewide offices attended the event. We can expect to see several dignitaries and candidates at this year’s breakfast as well.

The event will mark State Rep. Roselee Vincent’s first turn at the Columbus Day breakfast podium and we look forward to her remarks in this festive event that had a “roast-style” feel to it last year.

The Columbus Day parade will be held in neighboring East Boston this Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. and if it’s anything similar to the tremendous parade held in our city a year ago, it’s a “must-see” for residents of all ages.

We hope Revere residents will support both the breakfast and the parade next door and we’re excited that the parade will be held in our city in 2015.
