ARMED BICYCLIST ROBS GAS STATION

The Prime Gas station on American Legion Highway was robbed at knifepoint by a man on a bicycle last Sunday evening.

Around 7:15 p.m., a white male wearing sunglasses arrived on a red or blue bicycle and forced his way into the attendant booth at the station. He brandished a knife and was given an undetermined amount of cash. He fled on the bicycle.

Police surveyed the area and found the bicycle at the intersection of Breed and Stowers Street. It was seized as evidence and the matter is under investigation.

GAS STATION OWNER ARRESTED

Revere Police on Wednesday, Sept. 10, arrested a gas station owner on Squire Road for an alleged indecent assault and battery of an employee earlier this month.

The arrest occurred after an investigation into the employee’s allegations, which came on Sept. 5.

Ahmad Hussein Selman, 54, of 388 Ocean Ave., was arrested for indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over.

STOLE WOMAN’S POCKETBOOK

Police are looking for two men who allegedly stole the pocketbook of a senior citizen woman as she sat in front of the Dolphin Avenue development Friday evening.

The woman told police she was sitting outside in front of 45 Dolphin Ave. around 6 p.m.  when two white males in their 20s rushed up and grabbed her purse.

Then they fled.

One man is described as having black shirt and jeans, 5’9” with a beard.

The matter is under investigation.

CELL PHONE HUBUB

Police responded to a fight in the street on Kimball Avenue around 4:45 a.m. last Saturday morning that began when someone allegedly stole a cell phone.

The fight apparently broke out during a party at a residence when one of the party-goers allegedly nabbed a phone.

The accusations and trouble spilled out into the street and the disturbance continued after police arrived.

Johnatan Gomez Agudelo, 23, of 219 Crescent Ave., was charged with disturbing the peace and larceny over $250.

Kevin Castrillon, 20, of East Boston, was arrested for assault and battery on a police officer and disturbing the peace.

WALLET TAKEN AT CONVENIENCE STORE

One elderly woman had her wallet taken at the Broadway Convenience Mart last Monday, Sept. 8, after having put it on the counter for a moment.

Around 6:52 p.m. the woman was in the store and placed her wallet on the counter. Somehow, it was taken and she went home without it. She realized it was gone when she arrived home.

Using surveillance video, police were able to narrow down the identity of a woman who could be seen taking the wallet.

Renee Kirby, 43, of 75 Cummings Ave., was charged with larceny over $250 from a person 60 or over and one warrant.

CAUGHT WITH STOLEN GOODS

Two men were arrested last week after apparently breaking into a home on Elmwood Avenue.

Officers responded to a call for breaking and entering around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Officers found two men nearby who fit the description given to dispatch, with one of them carrying a Playstation video game machine.

The item was determined to be stolen and police arrested the man carrying the item.

The second man was arrested the following day.
