Revere Beach and This Weekend’s Sand Sculpting Festival

The Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival is one of the greatest events of its kind in the entire world and attracts the very best master sculptors from as far away as Singapore.

More than 300,000 people will travel to Revere Beach to see these talented artists showcase their amazing work. If you have been to one of these festivals in the past, you know why so many people make this a “must-attend” on their summer calendars.

If you haven’t experienced the joy of being at this  fun and festive event, we encourage you to be at Revere Beach this weekend for the festival. We know these immensely gifted sand sculptors appreciate the support and hospitality from the Revere Beach Partnership and Revere residents who welcome them to our city each year.

This year’s event will also honor three Revere veterans, Marc Silvestri, Eileen Merullo, and Stephen Leon, all of whom will be recognized for their gallant service to our country. We join the Revere Beach Partnership in giving a huge public “thank you” to these three veterans and every veteran in our city.

The festival also highlights what an outstanding beach and coastline that we have in our city. Revere Beach is the oldest public beach in the country and holds so many great memories for Revere families past and present. Who can ever forget the Cyclone rollercoaster, the Virginia Reel, the Nautical bowling alley and miniature golf course, Sandy’s Arcade, the pepper steak sandwich at Rudolph’s or the foot long hot dog at Danny’s? Kelly’s Roast Beef continues its remarkable tradition with its famous roast beef sandwiches and incomparable fried clams. Bill Ash, Anna’s, and Bianchi’s are unforgettable names when it comes to pizza on Revere Beach.
