Grace Marciello

Grace R. (Gulla) Marciello of Revere, formerly of Boston’s North End, passed away on June 23 surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old.

The beloved wife of the late Domenic Marciello, she was the loving mother of Ronald and his wife, Sandra, Gregory and his wife, Donna and Doreen DeAngelo, all of Revere; cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Marie Luongo of Medford and the late Teresa Grasso, Ralph Gulla, Jennie Noto, Helen Mignosa, Josephine Marshall, Anthony Gulla and Rose Gulla. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Grace’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St, Revere today Wednesday, June 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m.Thursday before leaving in procession to St. Mary of the Assumption, Revere for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her honor at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. John ‘Mig’ Migliero

Master Plumber; Man With Many Interests

John “Mig” Migliero, a lifelong resident of Revere, died on June 19 surrounded by his family.

John was a Boy Scout for many years. Along with his brothers and sister, he played the saxophone in St. Anthony’s Band. He also enjoyed building custom rockets and flying kites. He was an avid target shooter and member of the Mystic Valley Gun Club Bullseye Team. He loved traveling, was a certified scuba diver and dove in waters around the world. John lived his entire life in the city of Revere. He was a master plumber employed by Sagamore Plumbing and Heating.

He was the beloved son of Angelo and Jennie (Magone) Migliero of Revere; dear brother of Frederick and his wife, Claire of Revere, Victor of Lynnfield, Joan Watson and her husband, David of Newbury, George and his wife, Kristine of Iowa; cherished uncle of Melissa, Michael, Alexander “Alex”, Angelica, Diana, Victoria, Mia, Jenna and Angelo “AJ”; loving nephew of Victor Magone of New York and Mildred (DuBois) Migliero of Revere. He is also survived by many loving cousins and dear friends.

Laura Belmonte

Founder and Operator of Pines River Fish Market

Laura B. (Plona) Belmonte of Revere died at home on June 19 following a long illness. She was 84 years old.

Born and raised in Chelsea, Mrs. Belmonte came to live in Revere more than 65 years ago She and her late husband, Angelo “Dobbin” Belmonte, founded and operated the Pines River Fish Market on American Legion Highway in Revere for over 50 years. Angelo passed in April of 1987 and Laura retired in 2002.

The entire Belmonte family worked over the years within the operation where it gave Laura the opportunity to remain most aware and loving to not ony her son and daughter but to her many other family members, especially her nephews and nieces. The market remains open and thriving under non-family ownership.

Mrs. Belmonte ws the cherished mother of Deborah A. Belmonte of Revere and Anthony Belmonte and his wife, Margaret of Beverly the devoted grandmother of Anthony Belmonte, Jr. of Revere, Andrew Belmonte, USN (Navy Seal Program) and John Belmonte, both of Beverly. She was the proud great grandmother of Domenic Belmonte of Beverly; dear sister of Attorney Stanley P. Plona of Revere and the late Cashmira “Kay” Grossi and John F. Plona; dear aunt of Jeffrey P. Plona and his wife, Leanne and their daughter, Laura Plona (Laura Belmonte’s very speical namesake), all of Woburn, Jeannie Grossi Michelle Morrissey and her husband, Michael, all of Cambridge, Mary Finnegan and Karen Plona, both of Chelsea and John “Jackie” Aulino of Revere. Laura is also lovingly survived by her former daughter-in-law, Patricia Conte of Marblehead.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemtery, Everett.

Sami Eladhari

Lived Life With Gusto and Passion

Sami Eladhari of Arlington passed away on June 18. He was 32 years old.

After graduating from Arlington High School in 2000, Sami went on to Springfield College where he received a Bachelors Degree in communications/sports journalism in 2004.  He furthered his education with a Masters in multimedia sports journalism from Universidad Europea de Madrid in 2005.

A natural linguist – in addition to English, he spoke French, Spanish and Italian – Sami spent a year in Alcala de Henares, successfully completing the Advanced DELE diploma in Spanish.

Sami’s real passion, however, was for soccer.  His love of the game kept him much in demand as a coach for numerous Boston areas camps and teams, notably AC Milan, Sachems FC, FC Greater Boston Bolts in Revere and Soccer 101 Academy.  He was the Lexington High boys’ varsity soccer coach, where he was admired for his integrity and dedication.

Sami’s zest for life, sense of humor and positive disposition were an inspiration to anyone who’s ever met him.  A seasoned traveler and sincere friend, Sami had companions from all walks of life in all corners of the world.  Despite the enduring burden of an ailing body, Sami never complained, but chose to live his life with gusto and passion, devoting himself to the pursuits that fueled him.  In addition to his family, Sami leaves behind the many friends, colleagues, students and players who were deeply touched by his light.

Born in Cambridge on August 1, 1981, the beloved son of Francine Brasseur and Moncef Eladhari, he was the devoted brother of Mounia Pesl and her husband, Mark Pesl, Karim Eladhari and loving uncle to Omar Raad, Michelle, Nicole and Kathleen Pesl and Alexander and Mitchell Eladhari.

Mabel Frances Woodcock

Foreign Service Retiree

Mabel Frances Woodcock of Beachmont Revere and Florida passed away on Sunday, June 1 at Hospice House in Bradenton, Florida. She was 101 years old.

A lifelong resident of Beachmont, she spent her later winters in Florida. She worked for the Foreign Service and traveled the world, took early retirement and continued to travel. She loved being on the water and could be seen in the summer rowing her boat in Belle Isle Creek, Revere or in the winter, sailing her boat in the waters of Florida. Mabel loved to walk and could easily walk at least five miles a day. She remained active until the last few years.

She was the beloved daughter of Arthur and Alice (Dunnell) Woodcock; sister of the late Alice and William Ewart Seaman of New York and she leaves two nephews and one niece – William Arthur and Pauline Seaman of New Jersey and Florida, Robert Charles and Donna Seaman of New York and Barbara and Arnold Taranto of New Jersey. She also leaves the many friends made in her travels.

Her ashes will be interred in the family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Charlotte Fine

Longtime Hospital Volunteer

Charlotte (Fisher) Fine of Revere, beloved wife of the late I. Leo Fine, died Tuesday June 17 at the Hebrew Senior Life Center. She was 100 years old.

Born in Poland, the daughter of the late Philip and Yetta (Chisda) Fine, she was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School.

Charlotte retired from The Travelers Insurance Company where she worked as a Senior Rate Analyst for 20 years, she had previously worked for Hallmark Health/ Malden Hospital as President of the Ladies Aid Association Overseer Nomine and hospital volunteer since 1981. And in later years she was happy working in her own home. Charlotte was a resident of Malden for 40 years and has been a resident of Revere since 1996.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughters: Eleanor Fine of Revere and Carole Raymond of Newton; the devoted grandmother of four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Amy O’Brien and son in law, Donald O’Brien and brothers, Benjamin and Samuel Fisher.

Funeral arrangements were by The Torf Funeral Chapel, Chelsea. Burial was at the New Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, Everett. Louis Minichiello

Retired Crane Operator

Louis Minichiello, a life long Revere resident, died following a long illness on June 21 at Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere. He was 93 years old.

Mr. Minichiello came to live in Revere as a young boy, attended Revere Schools and most of his working life was spent in the construction field, especially for over 25 years as a ‘Large Crane Operator’ for US Gypsum.

He was the father of Danielle Singer-Turner-Butler of Lynn, Robert A. Minichiello of Revere, Celina DiChiara and her husband, Ciriano and Louis “Rany” Minichiello and his wife, Silvanna, all of Naples, Italy; the dear brother of Louise Saldi of Peabody and the late Joseph, Anthony, Frank, Michael, John and Carmen Minichiello and the late Rose Rolanti and Mary Gruszeski. He is also lovingly survived by nine grandchildren, one great grandaughter, his devoted and faithful niece, Camilla Tosi and her husband, Robert L. Rosi of Arlington and by many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and by his beloved sister-in-law Irene Minichiello of Revere.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 26 (the day he would have observed his 93rd birthday) at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere. The Funeral Mass will be followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. (Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.) In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.
