“Let’s be honest!”

It’s been my guiding principal in serving the people of Revere for 25 years, first as a member of the Revere School Committee followed by my election to three terms on the Revere City Council, then as Revere’s Legislative Aide for Senate President Robert Travaglini, and then a Legislative Aide to Senator Anthony Petruccelli. Currently, I work for Maura Doyle, Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court, Suffolk County as an Education Outreach Coordinator.

During my time in elected office, being honest meant standing up for what was right for working parents and individuals struggling to earn a decent living, even if it didn’t result in a popular vote. Being honest meant the constituents I worked for always knew where I stood.

And being honest got results. During the worst fiscal conditions in the State since the “Great Depression”, I was part of a team that helped to get millions of dollars in State investments for Revere Beach, two new public safety facilities and four elementary schools. We worked with all agencies and executive branches, and helped mitigate money to the City of Revere. We worked on life changing legislation that opened up access to health care insurance and created economic stimulus measures for small business.

Today, 32 years after I became the first woman to serve on the Revere City Council, I want to blaze a new trail to the State House and work hard once again for the citizens of Revere, Chelsea and Saugus.

I ask for your vote on March 4, 2014.

Thank you
