Let’s Go Revere — Beat Winthrop!: Revere Will Play at Winthrop on the Holiday

November 26, 2013

The traditional  Revere vs. Winthrop football game is set for Thanksgiving Day at Miller Field in Winthrop and promises to be a hard-fought and exciting battle between two evenly-matched teams.

Although the weatherman is forecasting a blustery day with wind and cold temperatures, let’s admit it, that’s half the fun of watching a Revere-Winthrop football game at 10:00 on a Thanksgiving morning.

Coach Lou Cicatelli will have his Patriots, who will be led by Captains Tom Portrait, Ed Volcimus, and Kaleb Silva, fired up to conclude their season on a winning note.

This year’s game marks the 100 year anniversary of the Winthrop-Revere rivalry and we hope as many local fans as possible will make the short trek through Beachmont to root on the 2013 Patriots. We also trust that Revere fans will act respectfully and represent our city well.

Let’s go Revere — beat Winthrop!
