The New England Storm Junior Olympic Softball Program in conjunction with the City of Revere recently hosted a tournament in Revere. St. Mary’s Park, Susan B. Anthony Middle School and Hill Park all participated in the tournament. The Program strives not only on molding fine female athletes, but respectable, independent and successful young ladies as well. That being said, these young ladies not only played 5-6 games over the course of two days, but they also volunteered to work the concession stands, helped serve slush, sell t-shirts, and set-up/clean-up of the fields. A portion of proceeds from t-shirt sales went to Breast Cancer Research. Making it to the Championship Game for the U14 Division were the New England Storm’s own two U14 teams. The U12 New England Storm team also made it to the Championship. Many local girls are members of the New England Storm.
