Easter 2012

Easter in Revere remains as perhaps the most significant Christian holiday and commemoration on the calendar.

It is, of course, the day Jesus was resurrected from the dead after dying on the cross on the hill called Golgotha.

He gave to mankind the Kingdom of God, and in his excruciating suffering, he died for us all.

On Easter in Revere, there remain a great many thousands of residents in this city who will pack our local churches, who will go out in their Sunday finest, and with their young children carrying bouquets, to recall the day Jesus rose.

It is a respectful, quiet day filled with awe about Jesus in name and in reality.

We wish all our Christian readers and residents a happy, healthy, hopeful Easter.
