Isabella Mazzone

Don Orione Home retiree

Isabella C. (LeDonne) Mazzone, a longtime resident of Revere, died on December 19 following a long battle with brain cancer at the Georgetown home of her daughter, Maria E. L. Igoe. She was 82 years old.

Born and raised in Revere, she attended Revere Schools. She retired in 2008 after 10 years of service as a medical record’s clerk at the Don Orione Nursing & Rehab Center of East Boston. She was also a member of the Anthonian Club of St. Anthony’s Parish.

Mrs. Mazzone’s late husband, Professor Ernest J. Mazzone, a renown educator and linguist died in April of 2006. She was the cherished mother of Maria E.L. Igoe and her husband, Johnny of Georgetown, Mark A. Mazzone, Jr., Briana Mazzone and Daphne Mazzone; the devoted grandmother of Siena M., Luciana I. and Milania D. Igoe, all of Georgetown, Mark A. Mazzone, Jr., Briana Mazzone and Daphne Mazzone; the dear sister of Anthony LeDonne and his wife, Kay of Lynnfield, Dr. John LeDonne, MD and his wife, Maureen of Lunenberg, Salvatore LeDonne of Florida and her twin brother, Henry LeDonne of Saugus, Anna T. LeDonna of Lowell, Angelo LeDonne of Oregon and the late Arthur LeDonna. She is also lovingly survived by her late husband’s family (the Mazzone family) and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere. Her funeral will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, December 22 at 11 a.. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 22 noon.  Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Leslie Pike

Former funeral home owner

Leslie W. Pike of Revere died on December 9. He was 96 years old.

The beloved husband of Anna M. (Hennis) Pike, he was a US Army veteran and the former owner of Pike, Merwin & DeNeil Funeral Home in Revere.

Marguerite King

Of Everett, formerly of Revere

Marguerite E. (Steele) King, an Everett resident for 68 years, formerly of Revere, died on December 19. She was 95 years old.

A graduate of Revere High School class of 1934, Mrs. King was a loving mother, homemaker, wife, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was the beloved wife of the late John E. King; loving mother of Shirley Monahan of Everett, Beverly Hicks and her husband, Douglas of Everett and Jackie Morel and her husband, Edward of Missouri; cherished grandmother of Terry, Carolyn, Cathy, Bill, Annmarie, Cheryl, Paula, and John. She is also survived by 14 cherished great grandchildren. She was the loving sister of the late Andrew, Edward and Matthew Steele.

Owned June’s Video Hut

June M. (Capezzuto) Violet of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on December 19 at the Kaplan Family Hospice.

Born in Boston, she lived most of her life in Revere. She was the late proprietor of June’s Video Hut and was also a member of the Revere Rotary Club.

She was the beloved wife of George; devoted mother of Pamela Howell and her husband, Terry of Exeter NH, Belinda Majerowski and her husband, Peter of New York and Glenn Malley “RPD” and his wife, Christine of Danvers; dear sister of Rita Nestor of Elkins WV; loving daughter of the late Joseph Capezzuto and Elizabeth Beatrice (White) Capezzuto-Campana. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren.

Barbara (Doran) Dobbyn of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, died on December 17.

She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Dobbyn with whom she shared 51 years of marriage; loving mother of John Dobbyn and his wife, Linda of Braintree and the late Kathleen Bucci and her husband, Joseph of Revere; cherished grandmother of Christopher, Michael and Ryan Dobbyn and Justin and Jared Bucci and three great grandchildren.

Florence Gladstone

Retired salesperson

Florence (Katz) Gladstone of Revere died on December 15.

Born in Winthrop, she was raised in Revere, attended the Revere School System and was a graduate of Revere High School. She was a salesperson in the shoe industry, working at the Logan Airport gift shop and various other shoe stores. She was a long time resident of the Jack Satter House in Revere.

The beloved wife of the late Victor Gladstone, she was the loving mother of Gary Gladstone and his wife, Irene and the late Fred Gladstone; the dear sister of George Katz, Saul Katz and his wife, June, Frank Katz and the late Joseph Katz and Sylvia Shaffer. She was the loving grandmother of Andrew, Erika, David and Sara.

Marion (Parker) Fiore of Revere died on December 17.

Born in Maine and a homemaker, she was the beloved wife of the late Alessio Fiore; devoted mother of Paul McAllister of Milford, Richard McAllister of Lynn, Shelia Brown and husband, Dale of Maine, Susan Smith and her late husband, Larry of Maine, Mary Rose Barrone and the late Joseph of Milton, Maryann Lauro of Florida, Alessio Fiore and his wife, Cathy of Wilmington and Dolores Liberti and her husband, Dean of Norfolk; dear sister of the late Clarence and Richard Parker; cherished grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 23.

Angelo Vigliotta

Worked for the Winthrop Schools

Angelo M. Vigliotta of Saugus, formerly of Revere and Winthrop, died on December 14 following a long illness.

A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the Revere VFW Mottollo Post 4524, a Winthrop School Department retiree and a former bartender for “Bayside” Restaurant of Revere for over 20 years.

He was the beloved husband of 53 years of Elaine M. (Stevens); devoted father of Robert M. Vigliotta of Bedford and Michael A. Vigliotta and his wife, Stephanie of Plaistow, NH; cherished grandfather of Anthony R., Shayna L. and Shantel J. Vigliotta, all of Billerica and Brooke N. and Shelby M. Vigliotta, both of Plaistow, NH; dear brother of Jerry Vigliotta and his wife, Mary of Groveland. He is also lovingly survived by his former daughter-in-law, Lisa Angelina of Billerica and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor Fitzgerald

Eleanor (Limoli) Fitzgerald of Revere died on December 16. She was 83 years old.

A cosmetologist, born in Revere, she was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Fitzgerald; devoted mother of Edward A. Fitzgerald of Revere; dear sister of the late Louie, Joe and Ben Limoli, Theresa Grosso, Lucy Fisher, Ann Barufaldi and Mary Destasio; cherished grandmother of Jamie Gauthier of Minnesota and loving companion of James Conti of Everett. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Angelina M. (Cataldo) Morgan of (Beachmont) Revere, formerly of the West End, died on December 9.

She was the wife of the late Harry Morgan; loving mother of Patricia D’Amico and her husband, Tony of Revere and Carol Morgan of Revere; cherished grandmother of Annmarie D’Amico and Joseph D’Amico; sister of Rose Scali of Medford and the late Thomas, Josephine and John.

Proprietor of Cap’s Auto Livery

Louis J. “Fudgy” Capodilupo, Jr. died in Boston’s North End on December 15.

The proprietor of Cap’s Auto Livery, he was the beloved father of David and his wife, Susan of Lynnfield, Louis and his partner, Sharon Winston of North Reading, Lori and her husband, Daniel Brown of Wakefield; son of the late Louis “Louie Cap” and Anna (Anzuoni) Capodilupo; brother of Stephen Capodilupo of the North End and Carol and her husband, Anthony Meriano of Revere; grandfather of Michael and Alex Capodilupo and Christopher Brown and uncle of Anthony and Stephen Meriano.

Catherine “Katie” (Spaziani) Pulicari of East Boston died on December 16.

She was the beloved wife of the late Rino; devoted mother of Ronald, Sr., Perry and Paul Pulicari; dear sister of Rose, Mafalda “Muffy”, Salvatore “Sonny” and Joseph as well five late sisters; the cherished grandmother of Ronald Jr., Terez, Paul Jr., Michael, Peter and Jack and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

William McGuirk

Controller at Westover Air Reserve Base

William J. “Bill” McGuirk of Easthampton, formerly of Revere, died peacefully at home on December 7. He was 61 years old.

He was born May 2, 1950 in Chelsea, the son of the late James and Elinor McGuirk. A graduate of Revere High School and the University of Massachusetts, he was a U.S Air Force veteran and was employed as a controller at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers James and Thomas McGuirk and his sister, Christine.

He leaves his son, William McGuirk Jr., and daughter-in-law, Heather, of Deerfield; three grandchildren: Jacob, Izaak, and Tristan McGuirk and two nieces, Caitlin McGuirk of Malden and Kimberly Klinetobe of Omaha, NE, as well as many friends and relatives.

He was laid to rest at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam on December 13.

Peter Karagozian, Jr.

Of Sharon, formerly of Revere

Peter Karagozian, Jr. of Sharon, formerly of Revere, died at home on December 14 surrounded by his loving family.

He was 37 years old.

Born in Malden, he was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School.  He has lived in Sharon for the last 15 years and worked for New England Investigators as a Video Editor.

He was the beloved son of Peter Karagozian Sr. of Sharon and the late Cecelia (Falzone); brother of Jennifer Pitrone and her husband, William of Lynn; nephew of Mary Trotter and her husband, Robert of Sharon, uncle of Sara Pitrone  of Lynn and is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joseph LeBlanc

Revere resident

Joseph P. “Joe” LeBlanc of Revere died suddenly on December 3. He was 61 years old.

He was the loving husband of Jean (Pouche) LeBlanc, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Born and raised in Saugus, he was the son of the late Alphe and Eva (Robichaud) LeBlanc. He attended St. Jean’s School, and graduated from Saugus High School. He lived in Revere for the past 32 years and worked for 23 years at General Electric in Lynn and Everett as a Heat Treat Specialist. Spending time with his family was very important to him.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his beloved daughter; Kristen LeBlanc of Revere; his sister; Lorraine Cottrell and her husband, Micky of Peabody; four brothers: Robert Vautour and his wife, Lucielle of Sandown, NH, Roger Vautour of Westminster, CA, Arthur LeBlanc and his wife, Agnes of Lynn and Joseph LeBlanc and his wife, Norma of North Port, FL and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Marie Scarimontios and her husband, John, Theresa Langlais and her husband, Remi, Anne Madigan and her husband, Paul, Alice Kershaw, Jeannette L’Italien, and Bertha Fuller and her husband, Paul; and son-in-law of the late Lena Pouche.

At the request of the family, services were private and under the direction of Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, Lynn.

Dale Puopolo

Revere resident

Dale B. (Stabile) Puopolo of Revere, formerly of Medford, died on December 13.

She was the beloved wife of the late Saverio “Sam” Puopolo; devoted mother of Charles E. Clanton Jr. of Saugus, Maureen Spinale of Hyde Park and Lynne Gigliello of Lynnfield and is also survived by six loving grandchildren and 10 loving great grandchildren. She was the sister of Dolly Foley and Bernard Stabile, both of Medford.

William Drover

Truck driver

William T. Drover of Salem, NH, formerly of Revere, died on December 13.

Born and raised in Revere, he worked as a Truck Driver for Mobil Oil and New Penn Motor Express for over 40 years. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 25.

In his retirement, he donned his straw hat and drove the hayride at Apple Acres in Windham, NH and also delivered flowers for Delahunty Nursery. He enjoyed collecting sports cards with his son and grandson and spent his last years with his pride and joy, his grandchildren.

The first born of William and Mary he is survived by his siblings, Robert of Revere, Alan of Oklahoma, Laurel Merchant of Fairhaven, James of New Hampshire, John of Lynnfield and Paul of Peabody. He was the former husband of the late Lorraine DePaulo and Mary Ann DiChara and father of Karen Gelsomini of Medford, William J. Drover of New Hampshire and Kathy Robinson of Scituate. He is also survived by his grandchildren Victoria Gelsomini, Olivia Robinson, Joseph and Nicholas Drover and many nieces and nephews.

Robert Devin

Longtime voice of the MBTA

Robert C. Devin of Revere, formerly of Boston, died on December 13.

A 53 year employee and longtime voice of the “T” (MBTA), he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Heger) Devin; father of Robert L. Devin of Weymouth, James E. Devin of Norwell, Paul F. Devin of Plymouth, Betty Ann Ghilardi of Norwell, Nancy Angeloni of Norwell, and Charles R. Devin of Scituate; brother of Francis Devin of Framingham, Claire Clay of West Roxbury and the late Marjorie, Richard, Edward, John and Mary. He is survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held at the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. The Dolan Funeral Home of Milton assisted the Devin family with funeral arrangements.
