Although the Revere High field hockey team dropped its season opener by a 7-0 margin last Wednesday at Marblehead, a perennially strong team in the Northeastern Conference, RHS head coach Maureen Flynn saw a lot of good things that bode well for the coming season.
“The team played well,†said Flynn. “We have a lot of new players and they all looked like they were learning the sport well. For a first game against one of the top teams from last year they did a great job overall.â€
Flynn and her crew were back in action yesterday (Tuesday) against Saugus and will travel to Swampscott tomorrow. The Lady Patriots are back home Monday to host Gloucester.
