In a very sad post script to the murder of Revere Police Officer Daniel Talbot comes the Derek Lodie guilty plea last week in Suffolk Superior Court, which resulted in no extra time being served for another violent crime, which he committed.
The front page photograph showed a smiling Lodie – and our thoughts, shared by many of our readers – what is this jail bird smiling about?
He is already serving 8-12 years as an accessory to the death of Talbot in his 2007 shooting death behind Revere High School.
The photograph showing Lodie says it all about him.
We hope his 8-12 years in prison wipes a bit of that arrogance away.
