The Sand Sculpture contest once again succeeded in putting Revere Beach on the Internet all over the world and into the big Boston dailies and in so doing portrayed Revere Beach as the place to be.
The crowds were huge, coming in great waves beginning Wednesday and spilling over into the weekend.
The sand sculptures offered up some of the most creative and artistic sculptures ever done on the beach.
Everyone associated with this event should be proud, as this event has changed the face of Revere Beach in its modern incarnation. Many, many tens of thousands of visitors who came to the beach to view the sand sculptures leave Revere Beach better for the visit and remember it as the sand sculpture beach.
It is a great image changer and brings positive press to the beach, again.
