Everett’s Sal DiDomenico has beaten Cambridge Attorney Tim Flaherty in a tight race where the difference between the two when all was counted was believed to be 1%.
DiDomenico declared victory at 9:21 p.m. in front of hundreds of cheering friends, relatives and supporters at the Silver Fox on Route 16 in Everett.
DiDomenico apparently carried Everett by a wide margin while losing Charlestown, Chelsea, Revere and Cambridge proving Everett’s value as a base.
