Yawkey League team owner-coach of the Malden Bulldogs and Revere businessman, Dr. Kevin McGovern of McGovern Physical Therapy Associates of 385 Broadway, Revere, welcomed some All-Star baseball players from St. Mary’s Cal Ripken on June 30 to catch some of the local area’s top college players, including Revere’s own Mark Addessa from Suffolk University. Dr. McGovern is a local businessman who also supports several Revere Youth organizations via donations and programs such as A Night at the Yawkey League to give back to the kids of our communities. One of Dr. McGovern’s coaches is John Moore of St. Mary’s Cal Ripken in Revere. All the kids thank Dr. McGovern for letting them participate in pre-game warm-ups with the Malden Bulldogs and for being a Junior Bulldog teammate during the game against the South Boston Saints. The Bulldogs didn’t disappoint their new junior members with a 3-0 win.

Among those pictured are Matt Costanza, an 11-year-old All-Star from St. Mary’s, Alec Costanza, a 12-year-old All-Star from St. Mary’s, Dr. Craig Costanza, who is also a Revere businessman, whose dental practice is located on Newhall Street. Also pictured are Zack Moore, a 12-year-old All-Star from St. Mary’s and Dr. Kevin McGovern.
