One of Broadway’s longest running acts, Companions Restaurant, has completed a two- week remake of its menu and is expected to kick off the new era with a March 17th St. Patrick’s Day all-day affair.

During the past six months, following a total renovation of the interior space, including the remaking of the bar, Companion’s owners experimented with an entirely new menu.

“It didn’t work the way we had hoped, so we closed for two weeks,” said Companions owner Robert St. Jean.

“During the past two weeks, we have re-invented ourselves and we will be ready to open our doors on March 17,” he added.

The new menu will feature comfort foods served in what appears to be a high end bistro.

Appetizers will cost around $8, while most dinners will be $14 or less.

The cost for beers and drinks have also been lowered.

As a result of the improvements made at Companions during the renovations last year, the bar is user friendly, especially for those watching sporting events.

With 7 flat screen televisions, nothing is left for granted if it is shown on television.

What began as the Holiday during the early 1970s later morphed into Teddy’s Pub and finally into Companions.

“We’ve been working hard for over a decade in the restaurant. I love what I do. We’re committed. We’ve taken some time to rethink the restaurant and bar. We believe this incarnation of the restaurant will be a success,” said St. Jean.
