It will be President Barack Obama. He won with 52% of the vote.

Locally, Dog racing has been officially banned by voters by a wide margin. Obviously, Revere and Wonderland will be extremely affected by this mandate from the voters.

Marijuana has been decriminalized. This another measure voters have approved that local police and anti-drug leaders were dead set against setting such a legal precedent.

Most voters rejected the notion that the state tax should be abolished.

Later today, we’ll have the official Revere results for you and other results and local election news.

As a resident of Revere I worried about how this will impact the city. However, it’s hard to look pat the cruelty factor in dog racing. It’s tough to put that blame on all dag race owners, but it is a reality. I’m more interested to see how the land that wonderland occupies is utilized post the shut down. I hope it’s anything BUT condos. Put in a shopping center, a mall, restaurants, etc. Bring some life back to that area.
